UPDATE ON OPENING
Hello everyone, we hope you’re all well and keeping safe.
We need to inform you that we have made the decision to delay the opening of the premises in April.
We are aiming to open mid May in line with government guidance/roadmap. We hope to be welcoming you all back inside the pub/restaurant in May.
We will keep you updated via Facebook and the website on proceedings.
Thank you again for all your support and messages during this challenging time.
See you all in May🤞
Thank you,

What we're about…
We pride ourselves in running one of the best country pubs on the Worcsestershire/Herefordshire borders.

Our History
Recently updated and modernised by Nick, our pub is actually steeped in History and still retains many of its original features. You can read about local characters on the walls and sit in front of one of the three wood fires we have lit regularly during the cooler times, just as people have enjoyed for literally centuries! Our pub is decorated and furnished with comfortable settings to make the ideal place for small or large gatherings. We have made full use of the extensive room inside and out to accommodate ‘social bubbles’ through these times when we need to make social distancing as easy as possible. Oak floor boards, old chairs and tables all add an ambiance of calm, and relaxation.
Our Vision
We offer a family-friendly, child-friendly, dog-friendly atmosphere, where we want everyone to feel welcome , warm and comfortable. We try our best to listen to what you want, so speak up please if you are in need, we really want to help.
Come and meet us
We're a friendly bunch…

Superb food and excellent wine. Warm fires and a friendly atmosphere Thank you Nick , your chefs and waiters for a fantastic meal on Saturday. We had a truly superb evening. The fires were burning brightly and it was a lovely friendly, warm and casual atmosphere. The food was delicious, especially the steaks. The four of us had a great evening. The wine was exceptional, and we like good wine! The whole experience makes me want to come back soon 🙂
Quest5428893/16/2020Brilliant food and great service I don't normally write reviews but we visited here yesterday the staff were so welcoming. Particularly I believe the owner. Our dog was invited in with open arms. Asked if we wanted the fire on. Let us know about another room for the rugby. So very attentive. We had vegetable lasagne and beef roast dinner and could not fault it. We realised it was quite close to where we live and we will definitely be returning. Best food out we have had In a long time. Thank you

Average Now called 'The live Inn' i believe as this place has changed hands and it now offers Malaysian cuisine.
Staff very welcoming and friendly. Food was OK however the curry was a little too hot for my liking ( asked for it a little warmer than the advertised mild ) Desserts are amazing. Prices a little above average and maybe a tad overpriced and trying to be gastro rather than pub food but all in all a pleasant visit.sara f2/04/2020Evening meal Now seems to have changed name and known as "The Live".
Meal was excellent. Well cooked and highly enjoyable.
Service was generally good. Will be somewhere i will visit again.
I note that previous reviews have noted it as being cold. I did not notice it as being so except if stood near the door. A log fire was burning and the temperature throughout was acceptable.WorcesterMoray1/31/2020Exceptional Sunday lunch We have been meaning to visit for a while, so whilst out for a walk we decided to pop in for a bite to eat. Aren’t I glad we did. The lunch was simply amazing! Hot, fresh and quite possibly one of the best I have ever had it certainly competed with a home cooked one. I had the vegetable gratin whilst the rest of the party had pork belly which they assured me was equally as good. The creamy leeks were by far the star of the meal. Highly recommended.

Fantastic Food and Service! We called the pub to ask for advice about taxis, soon after the pub landlord arrived at our nearby holiday cottage and did two trips to get us all to the pub! We had fantastic food with a great selection of wine (at very reasonable prices).
Even better than that, we were welcomed like old friends and spent the night singing and dancing with the staff and locals.
The icing on the cake of a great weekend in a beautiful area of the county, I can’t recommend it enough!Jade P2/25/2019Great find! Lovely food & really fun bar for drinks We had dinner here & the food was incredible. Really great pub food. The staff were so attentive and friendly. Afterwards we had drinks in the bar and we had the most fun. Everyone there & the staff made it the best night. The owners even drove us home after to ensure we got home ok! Would definitely recommend both for drinks and food. Top notch! 🙂
